of Special Meeting
A
Special Meeting of the Yorkshire Numismatic Society will be held
immediately following the AGM on the afternoon of 23rd
November
2019, at Swarthmore Education Centre, 2-7
Woodhouse Square, Leeds, West Yorkshire LS3 1AD.
Agenda
In
accordance with Rules 8 and 9 of the Society, the following motion
has been proposed:
‘That
forthwith the Yorkshire Numismatic Society be dissolved. Remaining
funds be handed to whichever of the British Numismatic Society or
British Association of Numismatic Societies present the better case
for supporting future numismatic events in Yorkshire. The Society’s
other assets, including the archives in all forms and medals, be
presented to the Yorkshire Museum. The President be empowered to
implement this proposal in an orderly fashion.’
