New Numismatic Post announced for Yorkshire!

Curator of Numismatics

The York Museums Trust has just advertised the post of Curator of Numismatics. The YMT are seeking an experienced numismatist for this new post, to ensure that the numismatic collections across the whole of the Trust achieve their full potential as a resource for inspiration and engagement.

They want someone who will actively raise the profile and develop the potential of numismatics within YMT and across the region, working with partners in other museums and interest groups. Previous experience of collections management, retrospective documentation, volunteer management and devising and delivering events and research outcomes for public engagement will be invaluable.  They require someone who is used to working flexibly and willing to travel across the area.

York Museums Trust is an independent charitable organisation created to manage the York Castle Museum, Yorkshire Museum & Gardens, York St Mary’s and York Art Gallery.
