‘Treasure and the PASt: Hoards and Treasure
Finds from the East Riding' with Rebecca Griffiths, finds liaison officer for
the Portable Antiquities Scheme (PAS), is giving a talk at the Treasure House,
in Beverley, on Thursday, 13 March, from 6.30pm.
Many thousands of objects found by members
of the public are recorded every year by the Portable Antiquities Scheme.
Rebecca will focus on some of the stunning treasure finds that East Riding
landscapes have yielded.
Many of these finds are on display at the
museum in the Treasure House. This talk accompanies a new display case of
archaeological finds discovered in the region. The project was made possible
through the Art Fund's Treasure Plus Scheme, supported by the Headley Trust.
Tickets are priced at £5 per person and can
be purchased from the archives enquiry desk at the Treasure House or by

the event.
